Mass Effect is headed for PC. The 360 seems to be losing support more and more each day (losing exclusives, increased Microsoft hate, lack of big name exclusives excluding GoW2, etc), with Sony gaining more and more momentum. Think we are going to see the inevitable turn around this year? I think so.

Mass Defect is a bioware game so of course it was going to migrate to the PC.

And you didnt see this coming? Pretty much every 360 title is or will be on the PC at some point. Its just Microsoft wanting more money. (Which is really smart of them since they have both platforms to work with. 360 & Windows.)

QFT. Ya, they are trying to make more money by putting the game on PC because they know online gamers will buy it if they don't have a 360. More money for Microsoft. Doesn't mean the 360 is losing support.

I think the thing with the PS3, is thats its so powerfull, that compagny HAVE to take advantage of it. So games will take a few extra month, and extra dollar to make.

But I'm certain that once games start poping up for it ( mostly Killzone 2 and Metal Gear solid 4) comes it, it will rocket ahead of the competition

Every console game has to be designed and created on PC, so why wouldn't they have a PC version? Every company that doesn't bring "console only" games to PC is cutting themselves out of a few million dollars.

Someday all the platforms will hold hands and all players will enjoy playing games cross platform online.
Then buying a console or PC will just be a matter of what options you are looking for in gaming.
It's the way it should be.

The bummer here is that they're making some improvements that 360 gamers will probably never see for Mass Effect, plus people are already talking modding. Who knows if it'll support it or not, but if it did, I'd probably go for it. In a way, it's kinda cool because it means that the 360 has to stay awesome or it'll lose people to the PC - it doesn't have a guaranteed niche. Hardcore 360 gamers will probably stick with it anyway - a lot of people love achievements and that kind of thing. And sure, while Microsoft has it's foot in the PC market and console gaming, the two are pretty mutually exclusive - they're not working together to take over the world or anything.

Mostly one does their thing and the other does theirs.

I'm a huge 360 fan, but the appeal of PC is that I can throw a lot of things on my laptop and take them anywhere. Like tonight; I can't go hide in the back with Mass Effect (sad crackferret) because I gotta stick in the living room (hangin' with mah weasels). So that's the PC upside I suppose - I can throw a lot of stuff on my laptop (playing Jade Empire on PC these days, waiting for my KOTOR for PC to come in the mail too, mail so slow, make for more sad CrackFerret). But at the rate games are going, I probably won't be able to support most of them on my laptop soon anyway. :P

But bottom line is, I'm cool with cross boundery gaming. The more, the merrier. I don't think it's necessarily a lack of support for 360, I think it just comes down to the bottom line - you make more money the more accessible your game is to people. Plus, now that EA owns them, this makes a lot of sense. Now I wonder which studio they're publishing it under... Hrm.

Even Assassins Creed is coming to PC, just a great deal later than the console version. It's rare that high selling games don't come to the PC.

BTW your xbox hate is getting old, and most of the stuff for the 360 has been fixed...
I personally love the 360, but I don't hate the PS3. I do think the PS3 is a great console.
The console war is pointless.

Microsoft got both the xbox and windows to work with, they want to make more money. Like Unlucky Slayer said, their popular games will be bought by PC gamers too.

This was inevitable, all Bioware games were on pc before, only a matter of time before the Microsoft paid for timed exclusive expired. It would seem that companies are freaking out about increasing costs of video games so 99% of all 3rd party games are going to be multi platform (as if they aren't the ones striving to put in ultra realistic graphics to one up the next company in graphics).

and pamelf, have you seen the requirements on Assassin's Creed? Supposed to have huge system requirements just shy of Crysis.

A keyboard and mouse plays a lot better with most games anyway ( to me at least )

I prefer a console controller for action games myself.

Better off selling the games on the 2 main consoles and on PC anyway, because we all know PC will last a LOT longer than consoles will. Even so, if you look at games like GTA4, which have been entirely PC since release, which have suddenly been put onto console, you KNOW that they are going to be put on PC anyway...

Well, considering I can't just run out and buy an xbox 360 at the moment, but I do run a fairly decent computer.

I love when a popular console game that I haven't been able to play comes to PC ala Gears of War which I'm picking up soon.

Or other not so talked about games like Condemned 360 launch title, and that was some of the most fun I've had in that type of game in awhile - so making console games on pc is great as long as they do a decent job on the port.
